2012 Alumna of Honour Award, Barbara Arrowsmith Young

Barbara Arrowsmith Young has been awarded the 2012 Alumna of Honour Award from the University of Guelph.

This award is granted annually to one University of Guelph alumna to celebrate the achievements of alumni who have brought great honour to their alma mater through professional, community and/or personal endeavors.

Arrowsmith School named Most Innovative Special Education School 2010 Brain Fitness Awards

Sharp Brains, based in San Francisco, is a consulting company focused in the area of cognitive health and neuroscience. Sharp Brains hosted the 2010 Brain Fitness Innovation Awards which celebrated pioneering organizations around the world that are applying neuroplasticity based research and tools to “real world” applications in many different scientific disciplines. The 2010 Brain Fitness Innovation Awards recognized organizations implementing results oriented and scalable initiatives that showcase innovative tools to improve cognitive and emotional functions. Out of a large number of submissions from different countries that covered a range of leading edge cognitive applications, Arrowsmith School was selected as a top ten finalist, and was named the “Most Innovative Special Education School”
