Barbara Arrowsmith-Young reads Mark Rosenzweig’s research on ‘activity-dependent plasticity’ which leads to the creation of cognitive exercises to drive neuroplastic change to overcome her learning disabilities. 


The cognitive exercises that are the foundation of the Arrowsmith Program began to be developed by Barbara Arrowsmith-Young and were first offered to students with learning disabilities in an after-school learning centre.
