The information session will begin with a presentation discussing the theory and methodology of the Arrowsmith Program followed by a visit to the Arrowsmith classroom at the jewish Educational Center that will provide visitors with an opportunity to observe students working on the Arrowsmith Program exercises.
In addition, there will be an opportunity to ask Rabbi Eliyahu Teitz, Associate Dean of the Jewish Educational Center (JEC), and the JEC staff questions about the implementation and benefits of the program.

2009 Syfr Summer Retreat Topic: A Whole New Brain
This conference was sponsored by the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA), Austin, Texas from July 19 to July 22, 2009. The sessions were designed for superintendents, chief academic officers and district teams of educators. The conference explored facets of research in neuroscience and its ramifications for today’s classrooms.
Annette Goodman, Chief Education Officer of Arrowsmith Program, made three presentations on the neuroscience behind the Arrowsmith Program and its practical benefits in the field of education. Tara Anchel, Assistant Director of Arrowsmith School, will be speaking on
Friday, October 30, 2009 about the work of Arrowsmith School.
OCSTA is an organization serving about 850 Christian educators. The convention is attended by educators who work in the Ontario Association of Christian Schools as well as colleagues from New York state and elsewhere. The convention begins with an inspirational address and ends with an educational one; in between, participants can attend up to four workshops, browse exhibitors' display, share curriculum ideas or teaching strategies, and socialize.
